Just out of curiosity, I've been keeping a lookout for Duramax diesel vans. They sure don't seem to be very common around here.

After seeing this buildup I kind of want one.

Oh wow, that picture looks fairly normal then. You should post up a thread with weird daylight stuff going on in Alaska, like that mid-summer midnight pic. Always like checking out stuff like that

Me and my son(4yrs old) both have bikes. My wife just needs one, and my youngest son is only 15 months... we go ride all the time, we just havent had time to go out of state on a vacation to ride. We love to camp too, we just need the time to do it!

Holy WOW...that's got some ugliness attached to it but I bet it's super useful for what he uses it for so in that respect it's kinda cool! Definitely not what I'm looking to do with that!

Yup, they aren't very common. They only started making them in 2006 and not many people splurge for the D-max option for a van since they are mostly people carriers/equipment haulers and not really tow rigs. I had to fly 1800+ miles to get this one. And I think I lucked out with it since it was in such good shape and not beat up.
I'd say if you find one with low miles and not beat up...jump on it.

It's really nice working in Alaska over the 4th of July weekend and having kids setting off fireworks outside your hotel at 3AM and it's high noon sunshine

J, have you picked out your final wheel choice yet?
