Got the belts on...

Followed by the right MAP sensor, the one I had I believe was the 3bar (long skinny one) although I could be wrong. In any case it had a different connector on it and it wouldn't work with the harness, so I bought myself a new one . $100 for that...

Squeezed her into the intake and snugged her down with a bracket and now she's done and outta the way!

Figured I would take the starter off before Joseph got here, wired it up and bolted her back in (37ft/lbs), so that's done and finished!

And figured out what this plug went into...Woohoo!! One less loose connector for me to wonder about!

Joe's on his way with a Vice and a heli-coil and a tap and die set so I can get those cooler lines fixed... hopefully with that out of the way and the fuel lines finished it'll be a snap to finish this thing up! Maybe by Thursday or friday I'll have her fired up!

List is getting shorter...

First and foremost the fuel lines!
Swap spark Plugs
LT Headers and Y-pipe
E-fans
Intake
Bell housing cover
Figure out some hoses for the PCV system
Get the dip sticks in
Finish the wiring
Fill her with fluids
And flash in a tune

I can see the light!!!

Im glad to see you making some progress Frenchy! I made a little tonight myself. I pulled all the turbo stuff, and put my long tubes back on. Gotta get a cap for the drain in the oil pan and put the o2 sensors in then bolt up the rest of the exhaust.

Hot parts have your name on them son! I know you want to donate to the TVS fund!

You two have CURSED ME!!!! ...

Well Joseph (1FastBrick) came over tonight and he helped (I'm pretending like I helped him but in reality I was busy finding bolts in my parts bin to watch what he was doing) re-thread/helicopter (heli-coil) the TWO stripped out oil cooler line bolt holes. BIG THANK YOU TO YOU JOSEPH!!

We also used his truck to trace out some random connectors that I had floating around my engine bay and didn't know where they went, most of which were the EVAP and Air pump systems which I don't have anymore. I also need to get an Coolant overflow resevoir sensor that apparently is missing from my overflow tank. I think it probably popped out on the road trip from S.F. to L.A. since the sensor is on the bottom of the tank. Anyone know if it's a temperature or level indicating sensor? It's basically the only connector that goes to the coolant overflow tank.

Anyways, that was the good news...the bad news is that Joseph thinks that I need to pull my tranny again!
Apparently I might need a spacer between my flexplate and crank. My block year has the shorter snout and it's possible I have the wrong flexplate because with the converter up against the flexplate there is about 1/2" gap between the converter hub and oil pump, it's possible that the converter might of pulled out too far...gotta call FLT and Yank tomorrow and see what they have to say about it. If that's the case than Joseph saved me from burning up my tranny, if not then I learned something new!

I don't have a good picture of it and I'll try and get a better one tomorrow but here's an idea...

The flexplate has pulled the back of the converter too far away from the oil pump, bout 1/2". Keep you guys in the loop as far as what happens now!

When i did my V8 swap my i had the same connector issue with the overflow.

I had it tuned so that it would not turn that code or warning light on until it got to so hot...basically if figured, i have a gauge, i know if i have a leak ill smell it, and if the v6 didn't have it, the v8 dont, so take those $.02 for what they are worth. I just have a floating connector

It is a level sensor... and I am not using mine anymore (since I have a custom aluminum tank and no bung for it)... mine isnt a DD, so I can add it to my checklist it in pre-flight
