That's frigging Awesome!!! Thanks for showing us all of the little things behind the sceens (sp?)
With the pistons not having as much relief(somethings like 3cc right?) is that going to effect the comp ratio any? You said you wanted to be at about 9 with the new heads, will you still be around there?
How much boost will those rods and pistons be good for? Can they hold 20-24psi?
Keep up the good work buddy!

I have a little more time know to address some of the questions/PM's I've recieved.
The Probe 4340 forged I-beams sold through WCCH run $375. They come with an ARP 7/16 bolt and are good for 800+ HP. They needed absolutely no machining and/or clearancing. Solid rods at a good price.
The rings were spec'd by Rex to live under 14-15lbs of boost (I'm sure they can hold more). The rings weren't cheap but he and Richard felt the extra $$ spent would be worth it in the long run. Apperently Ackerly & Childs has a fantastic reputation for making quality rings, personally I had never heard of them before.
We spent most of the day checking and rechecking all the clearances and cleaning/prepping the parts for assembly. I've gained a wealth of knowledge regarding good solid engine assembly practices, thanks Rex!
We are going to great length to make sure this motor holds together for years of good service. As a foundation, GM's Block and Crank where within excellent tolerance and again needed very little work here.
The flat top pistons are .008 in the hole so to high a CR will not be an issue. I'd actually like to see a little more and we may address this via head gaskets if time and availability permit tomorrow.
I think that's about it for now
