to be honest I was worried too, always wondered if I did it right. If you double checked everything my guess is you did it right too and you'll be good to go

on a side note: they said the internals looked perfect, I wonder what my problem could have been

bro, I tried everything I could think of tuning wise, but I'm no expert by any stretch. We'll see how the new trans acts. I have all my pressures set to stock, just without the TQ management.

last minute change of plans here, looks like I'll be heading up to WCCH for a couple of days this week where Richard and I are going to tear down the shortblock and add some insurance.

new engine direction specs:

Stock Block 4" Bore
Stock Crank 3.622" Stroke
Rotating Assembly Balanced
Probe 6.125 4340 I-Beam Connecting Rods
Probe Forged Flat Top Pistons -3cc reliefs
Childs & Albert Piston Rings
Federal Mogal Main/Rod Bearings
Stock Cam Bearings
ARP Main Studs
EDC Cam 224/236 600/590 on a 116LSA
ARP Cam/Cam Retainer bolts
Comp Cams single roller adjustable timing chain
GM LS7 Lifters
Comp Cams 7.4"/7.350" pushrods (whatever's needed)
Stock Rocker Arms
ARP Head Studs
WCCH 035 Stage 2 cylinder heads/2.02/1.57 Ferrea valves/Pioneer dual valve springs/titanium retainers/stock locks
GM MLS Head gaskets
Melling Oil Pump

I plan on bringing the camera up with me to record everything.

Just on the FYI tip, on my DynoSim Program the motor makes more HP and TQ using 364 CID and more boost than a 408 CID and less boost.

Should prove to be a fairly stout setup!

Hell yea grippy! Thats what i want to hear! Its one of those, "while i was in there, i decided..." Kinda things. That is gonna be a very stout setup. You better crank the boost up hardcore with it and blow ol Brian's doors off. ***stirs the pot***

grippy, I've heard of some very minor clearance issues with the Melling pump and front cover. Just a heads up when you put the front cover back on. Congrats bro... thats gonna be a nice long block!

There we go!
I'd hate to see a piston go due to a little detonation after having the engine out and 70% torn down a few months down the road....I can see it now, Hot summer day and heat soaked from idling in heavy traffic for an hour and as soon as traffic breaks free someone cuts you off and you whip around to "show them who's boss" and detonation sets in.
