Grippy,
I'm in Washington, D.C. right now and I can't look at my factory manual, but I'm wondering where GM recommends prelubing the Gen III & IV Small Blocks. I think that I'd fill the oil filter directly first, then install the filter and pump about five quarts in where the plug is on left rear of the block (galley that goes up to the cam journals). Then after I ran it a bit, I'd top off the fracion of a quart according to the dip stick.

Do you (or anyone else) know where GM recommenda the prelube injection?

Steve

I believe it's on the instruction sheet, I'll be sure and pass that along, if I remember right it was the front oil gallery plug, drivers side
