Are you going to route the trans cooler lines along the inside or outside the frame rail?

This is what I did Grip. Except my braided lines are all black and my cooler has a fan lol

Oh I didn't weld the fittings on -- I used the same method as for the fuel line conversion (hard line to AN fittings)

You can see in the picture below that the hard line coming out of the radiator was cut and welded to allow the cooler to be added in-line.

The longer fitting supplies fluid to the rear planetary. Here is my -6 that I modified so I could run all stainless lines and AN fittings.
Stocker on the right

I did this per Vince's recommendation, I have a little over 1K on the trans now with no shavings in the pan and it shifts fine, so far so good.

If I remember right it was a -6 to 14x1.5mm then was cut down to match the factory thread pitch etc. The fitting was like .01 larger then the factory so it was a bit tight screwing it to the casing but I dont think it will be a big deal since its never going to come out and if it does Ill retap the hole while the guts of the trans are out of it. I got a piece of aluminum tubing welded to it before the threads were cut. So yes it is a bulkhead fitting in a long round about way

IMO bypass the radiator all together, get a cooler with an external bypass for when its cold it will still get up to operating temp then once it heats up it will start cooling it. The fewer the connections the less chance of a leak and at this point Im all about low maintenance.

If you insist upon going through the radiator I would use tube unions to splice into the hard line, I would want to mess with screwing fittings into plastic, the end tanks of the stock radiator are very flimsy.
