So got everything together. Went to fire it up and no oil pressure. First thoughts that some thing is wrong with pickup tube or pump. Was going to pull the pan but there was oil in the filter. So i was going to check with a mechanical gauge but I dont have the correct fitting. I can get one tomorrow. Turned it over and oil comes out of the oil pressure sending hole. Ok maybe a bad sender. Except there is a lifter noise which throws me off. Any thoughts? The only think I changed from the 4.8 to the 6.0 is removing the oil cooler and installed the cap off of the 4.8 . Shouldnt be a problem there. I sell engines all the time that were in an accident and never had a problem.

Thanks. I am thinking I am gonna take a break from this for a little while once I get all the problems ironed out. Idles rough, all the lights are wrong, abs, and a wiring nightmare.

Also found a tbss rear axle. 9.5" and 3" narrower.

Got the truck together and everything operational. Kinda. I did not like it. Its gonna be cheaper to go 4wd than build a 2wd the way I want. Bought a rolled tahoe. Gonna use that frame and go frame up 4wd.

Man I need to go to auctions! Are you in CO, I am just south of you in NM, and some things on that Tahoe look mighty tempting if you are selling anything
