i finally got some work done on the 14 bolt and figured i'd post pics of what i have so far.
it took almost 4 hours and 4 different drill attachments to get to this

the brake brackets i got from fastbrick and had a friend weld

these are what i used to get it close to bare metal

brake hardware

POR 15 is on the way, then modify the brake lines. get a conversion u-joint for now and bolt it in.

didnt measure from the axle tube since its not exactly square. 1fastbrick told me it was supposed to be 2 5/8ths from the outside of the axle flange. but to be honest i just mocked all the brake components up and tacked it in place. i measured it afterwards and its pretty damn close to 2 and 5/8ths.

iv been reading some of the threads and just thought about it. if i find a 68" axle with my same gear set, i could just weld on some spring perches and bolt it up right?
the mods that you and atomic are doing are simply if you WANT to run disks right?
my NNBS already has drums in the rear.

Yes. That would work. But if you could find one from the same body style you wouldn't have to worry about the spring perches. You'll also have to use either a conversion u-joint or change the yoke on your driveshaft.
