You gonna use the 2-step on launch? Have you messed with that much on the street yet?
How well does your local track prep?
I probably won't use the 2 step. The speedway doesn't prep the track at all for the locals...ZERO prep. So there really isn't a point in using the 2 step.

No I never dug into it much. Looks like the press something into the pin holes to hold the ring in place. They definitely weren't threaded allen bolts or anything. I would still like to take it off though

Turned out to be a pretty embarrassing night I managed 2.5 second 60' all night long. If i built any boost at the light, I would blow the tires off as soon as I let go of the brake. The tires would unload right away. And if I just tried to flash the converter, the 4.8L is so doggy down low that it wouldn't launch at all. Best run was 12.99 @ 115mph That run I blew the tires off after the 60. So I had to let all the way out and get back in it.

I was having a weird issue all night that were pissing me off. The trans wouldn't shift out of first fast enough. I have it commanded to shift at 6000rpm and 51mph. Looking at the logs, 6000rpm is right at 58mph or so so it should shift as soon as 6000rpm is hit. Well it wouldn't. The first log shows the wideband going all the way lean when the limiter is hit and the second log doesn't show lean at all. It was definitely cutting fuel at the injectors. So it did that the first to runs but instead of bouncing off the limiter, it felt like a huge misfire. I would have to get out of it, and then get back in. After it would get out of first, the truck was smooth as hell the rest of the run.

Good news is that I didn't blow it up and its not making any weird noises

12.99 @ 115mph

How much boost are you runing and what tires? I'm sure it's in this thread just a little lazy to look thru it. Ha.

I believe that run was around 13 psi. It was the only run I didn't log and I turned up the boost controller a little bit on that run. The first two runs were at 10psi and I trapped 110mph both times. But again I had to let out and get back in it on all three runs. Kind of frustrating when you can't make a clean pass

Yep. There were only like two or three rear wheel drive cars out last night that were cutting under 2 second 60's. I get a lot better traction on the street than I do at the track haha

The 80es take a while to shift...keep moving the points down until it shifts where you want, and try to match the rpm and speed.
