Specs on F14 cam?

Isn't an LS3 intake square port?

What do you have in mind for "full valvetrain and exhaust"?

List looks good. I'm guessing you're going with the LS2 intake mainly for looks, because I don't think they outperform the truck intake. The rockers aren't necessary, but if you have the dough, they won't hurt a thing.

Interesting,, I thought I remembered reading the ls2 made a little more on the top end, but yea, looks better lol. The stock rockers can handle the cam?

Built stage II 243 t.e.a. heads are going for $1300 with cores. Id get something like that.

You'd be better off with a ls6 intake over the ls2. And be better off with a tbss/nnbs intake over either.

That 230s cam has a lot of lift for stock heads. Tr228 or the streetsweeper was a better choice, imo.

That truck looks so sick with those NBS 17's !!!

I'd first just put a nice cam and set of PAC valve springs in that LQ4,

See how it runs, im sure after the cam and a good tune and a set of headers it will run damn strong.

Then see what else it may need, but trust me it will run great just cammed for now, before you start messing around with head work and stuff.

Keep the rear end you have now .

Your not going to find ANYONE to build a 60e that is going to last forever behind a heavy powerful truck,

So save your 60e money and buy a low mileage 4L80E, put a Transgo shift kit in it and be DONE with trans issues.

Also you will need a different input shaft for your Tcase if you go the 80E route.

Talk To TJ at Baker Engineereing, he can can mail order tune you damn near perfect and spec you a custom ground cam and springs, one stop shopping and he knows the LSx engines very well.

Also search for Zippy, he also can spec ya a cam and tell ya what heads/ headwork performs well on an LQ4.

Futral motor sports is right down the road so he's going to tune it but thanks for the advice. If I can find a 4x4 14 bolt for cheap ill build it and drop it in there, if not I have a 10 bolt to put in.
