Thanks for all the compliments guys
The base color got a little light on the edge of the passenger door handle, but not bad enough for me to want to redo that handle.

Here's an overall picture that also shows how well it matches. Pretty good for a DIY garage spray paint session.

Bowtie

Went with chrome handle for the tailgate since I plan to colormatch the bumper plastics and keep the red/chrome theme back there

Crazy how small parts change the entire look of the truck

Got the new v band clamp on

Pulled the wood grain trim off the escalade console

I bought some carbon fiber wrap for it, but I don't know if that's the best move since the fiber weave lines wouldnt line up once reinstalled. I might get matte black wrap instead. I considered 2k black paint, but I would think wrap would stand up to scratching and scuffing better than paint. Any ideas?

Got the wood grain parts wrapped. Made a bit of an error by starting with the upper piece, because the grain goes one way, but when I went to do the large lower piece, I had to rotate the sheet, or it wouldn't have fit. So right now I have the upper piece going one way and the lower piece going another. I have two pieces left so I can redo the upper one if it bothers me enough.

Work bench

Started the paint on these two

Ended with 4 coats of the color

Added the trim with some silicone adhesive under and letting it dry. The right one is just set in place until I decide if I want to redo them to match the lower weave direction

And in case anyone was wondering, it hurts like hell when you slip and stab this pick under your nail

I appreciate it
Did a little more painting on the console parts. All that is left is the large side pieces, and I'm going to order 2 more cans of paint for those to be safe.

There wasn't enough left in the can to do the side panels so I said screw it and did the leather armrest. Followed the SEM directions including sanding with 600 grit and all that. I planned to have it reupholstered, and already ordered the materials, so if this turns out like crap, then I'll just move forward with that.

I find myself snapping pictures of this truck all the time
