Yea, went this morning...same numbers as last time, and same issue with boost falling. Its basically the same engine and turbo, so I wasnt expecting a huge difference. The torque converter doesnt show up on the dyno, but its much fast because of the better coupling. 6500rpm has about 7% slip whereas before it was around 30%, that translates to a lot more usable power to the ground. It behaves fine on the street but when it gets on the dyno boost bleeds off way too fast. Still made 800rwhp at 5700rpm at 20psi. Also close to 800ft/lb at 5200rpm with 3 less psi than I usually run. Managed to burn #4 plug wire so had to make a new one on the spot...that was fun...

This turbo has 1200rwhp in it, just have to convince it to work how I want it to!

As a side note, my fuel setup is awesome. 800rwhp and injectors are only at 61% (with meth spraying) at 0.76 lambda and 6500rpm. These walbro 400s are great.

The dyno doesn't load the engine enough? Is that why it won't hold boost?

No its not that, I think not forcing air at 100+ against the front of the truck might have something to do with it. Also crossed my mind the rate of acceleration of the turbo is much slower and therefor the boost controller is freaking out...the more controller I gave it the lower boost went, and yes I have it hooked up correctly.

I plan to remove the controller from the system and just use straight references to the gate to see what happens. Probably carry my air tank in the passenger seat with a regulator to the top of the gate to see what adding pressure directly does.

How do you expect to get 400 more horsepower out of it when you are already at 20psi. Not hating, just wondering your reasoning.

I would really like to see this thing break the 1000 mark. Good luck with the boost issue. I wish I could help, but you are way over my head on the knowledge of this stuff. And I like the twin 400's too. Im glad you started that thread, my fuel is working great too. I might turn up this boost tomorrow to see what this thing can do.

Im not really expecting to honestly, but this turbo has put down bigger numbers thab mine in similar displacement setups so i think it is possible if i get the turbo in its happy place, probably around 26-27 psi.

That was pretty much the whole thought....without a speed sensor on the turbo or a sensor for wastegate position I would just be guessing.
