Freaking knew it, first time I put the power steering pump under the load (a block away from my house no less) the power steering pulley walks off and destroys the belt. On top of that the battery is dead so had to get 2 cars to jump it with a 'rigged belt to charge the alt so I could hurridly put it back in the garage. Gonna overnight a new PS pulley hub from IW and might just get another pump to be safe.

Thought about pinning it, but thats a lot of work IMO. Im not sure I didnt screw up the pump when I was trying to press it on. There is fluid sprayed over the hoses back there, and I dont think thats directly because of the pulley walking off. I might have over filled it but I dont really want to take the chance.

We use Loctite 640 Sleeve retaining compound at work on one of our assemblies.
Can't remember which but that stuff is strong as hell. You have to heat the gear to remove from the shaft.
You should be able to get it through the autoparts store. Permatex 64000 is essential a similar product and I have used it on welch plugs to keep them from leaking or walking loose under pressure.
