Rergarding your ill-fitting y pipe.... I had the same problem.

Don't go replacing motor mounts thinking it'll fix it!

Yeah my mounts aren't the problem. It's just poor quality control from the factory it seems like. I have zero clearance with the y pipe though, you atleast had a little. Lucky for me I got a set of headers that don't hit the frame.

I posted on SpeedEngineerings huge header thread.. and a few hours later the thread disappeared... So not sure what the deal is with that...

Seems like I'll be breaking out the torch and welder this weekend.

They won't take the headers back even though they don't fit? Glad you guys are praying about this, I had my eyes sets in some

From what I've seen they haven't issued replacements to anyone with issues, Y-pipe or headers.

My headers fit fine, little close on the passenger side frame, but they fit.

I'm not sure if I got a bad y-pipe or maybe my header is defective thus altering the y pipe position...

True. I did notice that replacing my trans mount gave me another 1/8" or so of clearance. Good luck with the y-pipe... it's frustrating!

Did you contact speed engineering..? I would hope they would make good of it especially if they say they fit. If that post was gone and no one contacted you i would repost that bitch every day..lol.. I was afraid to buy those so i bought stainless works, but the catch is 3x's the money.

I haven't contacted them, from what I've seen on here with other members they rarely send replacements. I may call them today.

And I'm not sure what happened to their thread, the thing was 40 pages long all about headers and what not, and then I post and a few hours later it's gone?! the entire thread?!? poof!
