I am guessing that this has something to do with his last post.

Well your truck still lives. It's in my drive. My son bought it Monday. He's a mechanic at a Chevy dealer and his goals are similar to yours, low 13's.
The exhaust was way to quite so he did a muffler delete. We've pulled all the chrome and the bumpers are at the powder coater and grill and light trim at the painters, all going to be gloss black.
We'd love to know more about the configuration when you traded it. What tune, transmission work, what converter/shift kit. Anything that would give us a solid footing to start on.
thanks

Both the engine and transmission have the stock factory tune. The O2 sensors in the headers have extenders to keep the CEL from coming on. The "green" Kooks cats on the y-pipe were supposed to prevent that but they don't. I don't remember if I put the factory air intake back on or not but I think I did. The airbox mod is still there, FWIW.
The transmission is stock. It does have the ZL1 torque converter on it. It bumps the stall about 300 rpm. There is also a deep pan on the transmission. That's to help with cooling which it does well.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck! I look forward to seeing how the next chapter turns out.
