oh hell no, $6500 is a procharger and cam swap...

when I heard they had the truck I figured if they were anywhere from $1000-1500 for the long block I'd go get it right then... but boy was I shocked when she told me what they wanted. I just giggled a little, said "good luck with all that" and hung up. I'm with you, a 6.2 with a cam in one of these RCSB trucks will be SICK!

But yeah, getting the LT1 intake would be a good idea.
The throttle body and intake manifolds are different on the 5.3L and 6.2L you will have to change nitrous plates if you change from a 5.3L to a 6.2L

I'm planning on mounting my battery in the bed, but it looks like there's a distribution block on the battery.

Nothing is ever easy on these trucks. (Wishing for my 76 C10)

is it on the battery itself or just bolted to it? if it's just bolted to it then it actually makes a relocation easier...

It looks like its mounted to the battery. Can't imagine it's anyway else or it would require a specific factory battery as a replacement?

I think it's just bolted on top so my plan is to just mount the distro block were the battery is.

Awesome! Just got my (next set of) wheels back from Weldcraft having them widened. Beautiful work. I'll get them mounted up next week.

Stay the hell away from Wheels America. I think they farm their work out to the local high school welding shop.

Weldcraft rocks.

On the battery. I moved mine to the bed and mounted the distribution block to the firewall. Wasn't hard at all.

Thanks for supporting my friend's family company! They definitely produce some quality work out of their facility.
