Ok so new rings in, long story, don't ask. Pistons should be going in soon. Head gaskets on the way, running the stock LS9 head gaskets.
There have been a few updates to the build. Going with a 4L80E with full manual valvebody and a FAST XFI 2.0 system with the EZ LS ignition controller. Full manual on the 4L80 trans for simplicity. Looking forward to the final result honestly. I had already planned to use a TCI outlaw shifter, and always wanted to convert the truck to manual, so this is kind of a retarded way to achieve the happy medium for me.

Alright, So it's been almost a month and we've had a few setbacks, mostly with time and money haha. But we are here. bottom end mostly assembled getting ready to check PTV once we chase the threads and put the head studs in. Teaser for now.
What cam are you running??? Keep thinking about doing this mysef on my 99 and the more i think about it, the more likely i am to do it!!!! Nice build btw!!!

We did a custom grind. 230/242 @.050 627/627 lift on 115lsa. Big nasty
