The tarp isn't stretched. I an not sure if you are talking about the cover in general or the fact that it isn't in it's final resting place. I like it and like I said it is a must. The fuel cell gets a small puddle of water on the top if it rains and don't want a drop of water getting in my fuel. I don't know if you realise but the bed also isn't going to be brown. It will be factory dark green.

I am the same. Honesty is the best policy. This world is filled with pussies and cry babies that all feel that no one is wrong and everyone is a winner. That concept is such bullshit and is turning our kids into little winny babies who have no concept of true victory nor the pain you should feel from defeat.
Rant off. Thread back on:

My initial plan was to go Velcro only all the way around. I am probably going to add 4 snaps along the front so I have something solid to really stretch it because the Velcro holds well but it will be easier to snap the front, pull the hole thing back then Velcro the sides and back. Going to pick up snaps and epoxy some time this week. The epoxy is to hold the Velcro to the truck because the in the pic I used carpet tape and event it isn't holding the Velcro down well. Hence the wrinkles.

Was that while it was long wheel base?

I think a toolbox that sits below the bedrails would be a better look than the tarp bed cover.

Also, fiberglass is just as heavy, if not more so than plastic. Just an fyi

Keep up the great work. Have you took it to the track since the 4link and short bed?

Yes I took it to the track but the trans wasn't working right. Didn't have first and had to get out of it for a moment to shift into third. I still ran 13.6 @ 102 I think so I had a faster trap and only .2 slower et without first. I foresee 13.1 or better on the 100shot before this round of weight reduction.

I will have to look into plastic vs. Glass for weight. If it is true then I will just start with the factory plastic and glass it to finish it off.

I Gave the glass hood a go. The resin I used was actualy a floor resin and too thick.(Free and wasn't sure how well it would work.) Going to get some resin for the application and give it a go soon. I was able to lear allot event though it won't turnout well.
