It's Truckshop's old truck. 2013 Denali 6.2 2wd, tvs1900, ls9 cam, headers to stock 3.5" with some big diesel muffler. 4/6 drop on 22s and 285/40r22 nitto 420s. Over axle bags with on-board compressor, ceramic coated .. probably missed some stuff. It's a lot "nicer" than mine, a lot less miles and better taken care of than my truck was by previous owners.

I know the next question will be if we have raced ... No, we haven't gotten a good race in yet.

So when I first lowered the truck, I only did a flip kit in the rear and have been riding on air in the helper bags to make it sit level (about 40psi) and it rode horrible of course. I just never took the time to fix it. It now has lift hangers in the rear to sit correct without air in the bags. Has a little rake but I don't mind it. Going to look sweet once I just some VAS traction bars on there. Also have some belltech SP coming in the mail tomorrow to top it off but it rides much better already. Should have done this a long time ago ...

Looks better and I know the improved ride was worth it alone. You been to the track yet?

Thanks, definitely a better ride! And nope, haven't been to the track yet and probably won't until it cools down some and I get some traction bars.

And what shocks would you suggest? I have cheap mcgaughys shocks on it right now that I got for free and have belltechs coming but open to opinions. Everyone down here runs belltechs and loves them, including myself on previous trucks of mine. I also love my helpers, truck tows like a beast with them.

I have the Belltech drop struts up front and matching shocks in the rear with 10lbs in the helper bags unloaded and it rides pretty good. It definitely rides rough when I forget to deflate the bags after towing.

I agree. Mine rode horrible on straight air for over a year ... Rides much better with the lift hangers and haven't even put the new shocks on yet. Probably will tomorrow night, they finally came in today

Maybe its more of a personal preference, some guys swear by the SP shocks, but for some reason the shocks have always been a little rough for my liking.

There was a thread where some people were running some super cheap monroe shocks, i forgot the model number either way theyre discontinued now, and man they ride like a cloud even on the helpers.
