Default Boosted 325 GMC jimmy

Hi im new here, the name is Tyler and Im 21. Its time to start a project thread here... I've been a lurker for a while gathering info, I'm over on s10 forum also but not as much info about these swaps as there is here.

so im going to start this thread to keep track of all my progress and to ask for help since this is my first time doing something like this. I'm more of a fabricator at heart, but anyway on to the pics!

heres the blazer

heres the reason im doing the swap (had real bad rod knock, so i finished the old 4.3 off)

4.3 GUTS!

heres all the parts I have so far.. might not be using all of them..
c5 alt, c5 tensioner, c5 chrome wagon wheels, vette filter, stock heads, ECU, vette covers, CPW swap headers, CPW mounts, and CPW harness.

parts that should be here this week...
Plans are to run 7 psi on stock motor, intercooler-less, custom piping, a pretty basic setup for somewhat cheap.

Just ordered EGay t70 70ar turbo
50mm bov
38mm waste gate
oil feed and return lines
pillar pod
boost gauge
oil pressure gauge
temp gauge
also ordered my Ls3 water pump
Lt1 fans

Tore the old 4.3 out and notched the frame, then welded in a plate and sprayed some undercoating.

removed condensor and tucked radiator in the core support (not running ac)

got LT1 fans mounted with custom aluminum brackets

turbo came in today. Also broke the motor down and sent my LS1 intake to the shop to get smoothed and painted by the boss. I think it came out real well. Lemme know what you think so far!

I hope everyone enjoys the pics, Im going to be ordering more stuff this week so I will be updating this thread every step of teh way!

Nice set up.

What are your plans for hot pipe routing?

Im sure its not final, but the drivers side header looks like it will pop through the hood as it sits, and the passengers side looks like just a few inches of piping will go into the core support.

Low dime... Yeah that's all just mock up right now, I think the drivers side one will be fine as the truck manifold was that high and doesn't hit hood.

We will see once its all in the truck, I plan to run my hot pipe from the drivers side under the crank pully and up to the turbo which will be mounted behind the headlight on pass side.

Hopefully it will be christmas tomorrow with packages galore!
Also going to go to the shop tomorrow and wire wheel the block and valve covers, paint the block and still not sure what I'm doing with the valve covers.

Got a bunch of stuff in the mail today! Also took the oil pan off and man this thing has a lot of sludge for 98,000 miles! Painted valve covers flat black and also the block, thats about it until i find a pipe tap and figure out where I want to mount my oil lines..

air filter kit

wire for rear battery and oil lines for turbo

and my "greddy" bov

does anyone know why it has two vaccum nipples??
