I assume you're refering to a 9" style back brace, but this style of brace has been used in the GN world with success and you can still remove everything.

4 Link should be a bit heavier. The bars alone will weigh almost what the leafs did. There is more bracketry for the 4 link plus a pan hard so that is a bit more weight plus the boxing of the frame. On my truck my guesstimate is the 4 link is only a few pounds heavier than the leafs.

All the brackets and 4 links bars we use are chromoly. Everything weighed less than one leaf spring pack.

I used steel for mine thefore not any lighter than stock.
