Have you opened up the mirror? Whatever did that (seems like heat) probably melted the motor wires together or apart or who knows. That could throw some crazy voltage problems at you. At least unplug the harness to that mirror and see what happens

that sounds like a logical place to start. and while you're in there try to take notes on how exactly your mirror pours guinness in itself, because I could use some of those!

I started pouring over some wiring diagrams, then started pouring down some alcohol.

Maybe you will fall and smack your head and have a vision of the problem!! See alcohol does solve problems.

I'm at a loss on this one. Been checking a few things and I can't find anything wrong other than it doesn't work.

I might be forced to start over with new harnesses and test it as I remove wires. Would be nice to get the harnesses from a truck with fewer options to start with.
