How dumb is this.
Remember I had the front, rear and cab harness plugged in, ran power, turned the head lights on and the left side was dim and the right side was bright.
The wires for each head light meet at the connector that plugs into the bottom of the fuse panel. In other words there are two wires for each connection at the fuse panel, left and right. Well, just as a test I ran power to the connection made here and both sides shine perfect.
That my friends is dumb. I mean, headlight control comes into the fuse panel the out in two wires for each light, left and right. To me, I don't see how it was physically possible for the bcm/harness to cause a problem with the left or right side. A problem of that nature would have to be once the wires split.

Here is the plan, I already have the stuff coming to wire this thing up.
The only options I was trying to keep in the cab was the radio, power windows and door locks and power mirrors. I can completely live without the power locks and mirrors at this point and it makes no sense for me to keep screwing with 45 miles of wiring for the bcm when the only thing I need to control from in the cab is the radio, lights and windows.
Wiring for these items can be very simple. I'm gonna make a very simple fuse/relay panel to switch on power for accessories, control the windows with DTDP switches mounted in the stock location, and control the lights with something similar. Bam, done.
Engine/Trans will be controlled via BS3 and racepak dash. Going to a cable TB. (something I originally wanted to do anyway)

Should have everything I need to finish wiring the chassis this weekend.
Also, I've decided to do a standalone harness and gm pcm with a drive by cable tb conversion. This will be supplied by Nelson which despite his busy schedule has been more than helpful on this part of the project. I've decided to save the BS3 stuff for another project which I'm hoping will get started in the next couple of months.
I should be able to post some progress pics up later in the weekend.

harness is done.
just waiting on the foot assembly and misc stuff that comes with it (it'll be here today).
btw, we've done these elect to mech conversions, this foot stuff will bolt right in.
just need to drill a hole for your cable, and do whatever you need to with your master cylinder, but it shouldn't be in the way.
should ship today or tomorrow.
