you have a 408, it has a stroker crank...you dont need a spacer, no aftermarket company would make a crank for limited use it would lose them money...

Hmm well maybe it needs the spacer then. Maybe I switched the stock 4.8 flexplate with the 6.0 flexplate? Does your 5.3 have a spacer?

I dont have my 5.3 out yet, but will hopefully tomorrow, so I cant comment on what the 5.3 has just yet.

2005, what is the flexplate for that is pictured on the previous page?

 

im pretty sure its a regular flywheel...are you sure you had it the right way? not trying ot be a dick trying to help. i know of no differences in the 80e and 60e plate, just the spacer...

 

I had the side marked engine side toward the engine so im pretty sure I had that right...the spacer is flat in any even so it wouldnt really matter except the slightly raised parts for the torque converter.

 

60e flexplate is dished and is used without spacer. 3 bolts for TC.

80e flexplate is flat and needs a spacer. 6 bolts for TC. This is what's in the picture.

 

Thanks, and im guessing the bolt holes are not the same on both the 60e and 80e, right?

 

The holes are interchangeable, just the 80e plate has an extra one in between the normal 60e holes. Coban is right about the differences. id just use the one off your 5.3. It will be right, make sure you use lock tite on the fp bolts they WILL back out
