I talked to Eric at DuraBurb today about the radiator situation. He said the 34" gasser radiator would be marginal at best, even in a light weight truck that doesn't tow. He recommended a 3/4 ton gasser radiator support and a LLY radiator/intercooler. I'd still have to run a body lift to make it fit.

Im surprised he even talked to you. He seems very tight-lipped about the stuff he does. I dont blame him as thats his livelyhood but it definitely doesnt make things easier for planning. Best of luck to you, Im really interested to see how this turns out.

He did ask if I did this on the side to resell, and seemed to relax a little when I told him I was doing just this one truck for myself.

I opened up my search to include LLY trucks...the LBZ ones are going for way more than I was expecting.

You have to be registered on the site and be actively watching or bidding on it. The sight will not allow you to go back and look up past auctions once they end. The only way you can get registered is by having a license to dismantle or to have a dealers license.

If you have a broker, ask him to watch it for you.

Teardown progress. Took me about 4 hours to get the body up off the frame...what a pain in the *** without a lift.

Why not just use straps through the body and an engine hoist to lift it up? Poor mans lift

My hoist won't go up far enough If it wasn't snowing all day today I would have built an A frame in the driveway and used the winch on my 2011 and a ****** block to lift it up.

**** if I know, lol. Just leave it there until it's ready to go back on the frame.

These three are coming up for auction this week. Trying to decide if the one with the front wheel ripped off is worth bidding on, it's an LBZ, and the other two are LLY. I still haven't figured out exactly what is required to put the 2500 front suspension on the 1500.
