These 6 speeds can blow me LOL

So yea. Yesterday and today were kinda of disappointing. I have a 1.8 60' and a 20 second pass cause it would go limp as soon as it tried to shift on the 1-2.

Roger told me about a site a while back to check out and never did till today. I can't list the site cause he is not a sponsor. (Roger being mod can list if if he likes) but it's dedicated to just 6l80 and 6l90 tuning. Lots of great info, a small forum and a super helpful guy that you can ask questions and post up problems.

I posted up, asked a couple questions and within hours had awesome communication and an email full of changes to make and try out.

Uploaded the new tune, did some data logging and did a couple 4x4 launches on the back roads. Roads are little damp from the rain but holy **** she launches hard. Got a little sideways on a a few of the shifts but it didn't go into limp mode and pulled like beast.

Providing the weather clears up and track is open I will go back tomorrow and hopefully finally get a full pass. It sucks having time slips with a 20 second 1/4 LOL

Right on, glad to hear things are going you're way. Hope you've been practicing with that tuning.

Little be little with the tuning. I am kind doing this backwards. I picked a brand new truck which is the most complicated to tune, then throw the new 6 speed on top of that which is just a cluster ****. Then throw FI, CAM and a stall and all the other goodies.

I really should be learning on a mild NA setup..

Yea stock pump. It's freaking amazing. Doesn't drop at all, AFR is holding 11.5 or richer (still need to dial in WOT fueling) and IDC is at 70% at WOT

oh and I mentioned it in a few posts back but that Tru Cool is doing awesome. After two pulls tonight my IAT's got a hair hotter than my tranny LOL.

Transmission was 144 and IAT got up to 147 for a few seconds at the top of the 2nd pull

Ehh that will be a good winter project. I am just happy it's shifting good now.. Still has room to improve but it's leaps and bounds over what it was so we are heading in the right direction.

Is it sad I am looking forward to winter so I can mount my new rims and tires with studs? These summer tires I have on are pretty bald and in 2wd it's like a giant episode of Tokoyo Drift when I drive
