Edit. sorry for double post im on my phone. looks like atomic beat me to it but definitely check the current rating of the switch you find. a heavy duty industrial or marine switch might be sufficient by itself but that would also be bulky and ugly most likely. if you're in doubt find somewhere to stick some relays otherwise you'll be burning up switches.

So get a switch like so.
Amazon.com: 3PDT Mini Toggle Switch: Electronics

Run a relay off each wire I need to tap into.

I didn't follow what you meant though when you said.
1=86
2=85
3=30
5=87

Sorry for my ignorance. I am a much more mechanical person and like to be able to see things working. Electronics always got the best of me

Looking this all over I think I will just go with 3 small switches hidden in the cab. I can do a clean install of that and no one would ever know they were there unless they knew to look for them

Yea, after thinking about it a 3pst switch would work just the same as well. You would just be leaving a side empty on the 3pdt switch.

Those are lables for your diagram. You labeled it 1...4. Actual relays are 30, 85, 86, 87.

I think I could use one of these and put it out of sight.

There is some good information on relays on that audio and auto start site i gave you that may help you figure out the different types of relays and how they work and how to wire them. a relay is a switch in itself that allows you to run more power to something than your toggle switch will handle. per your diagram the battery side is a constant 12 volt source. Make sure you as direct to the battery as convenient so you don't overload any existing circuits. the accessory post will go to what you want powered up when you flip the switch and the switched power will tell the relay when to send power to your accessory (when you flip the switch on). Hope this helps. Learn up on relays, they can seem intimidating and complicated at first but once you actually start installing them they aren't bad at all. The information atomic gave you on the numbers is how relays. are actually labeled. the switch you posted would work although its a three position switch, on/off/on so there would be an unused selection.

Corny video but this explained at a 5th grade level so I could understand it LOL.

So for each wire I would have a relay and I would have the wire come into #87 and then go out #30 to the fuse. Hook up #86 to a ground or negative terminal of battery and #85 to the switch I will have inside the cab?

I think I am still missing a inline fuse though. Would I put an inline fuse before the wire connects to #87?

In more basic terms, when there is a current passing through the 85-86 path, the relay activates flipping a switch to turn on the 30-87 path. The polarity of either does not matter, ie, 85 can be power or ground as long as 86 is ground or power respectively. The same current is present on the 30 side as the 87 side, so you can put a fuse anywhere on that path.

Thank you again both for the help, I think it's starting to click. Sad thing is I took an electronics class back in high school and after 10+ years later seem to have forgot all of it lol.

So played in MS paint and I think this is what I want to end up with? Take a look and let me know if I am on the right track or if I crossed a wire somewhere.
