1980 but ya we still have it. It was suppose to be a joint project for me and my dad that we both have neglected. it was parked in my garage for years till i got married and the wife wanted a spot in my garage. It would be a fun car and we have a fair ammount of parts sitting in the garage for it, we just never make time to work on it or take it to someone. i should have him drop it at your shop and give you something to take your time and tinker with over next winter.

I'm really pumped to see how this shakes out. Think you'll get it done today? Do you already have your new tune lined up?
ya got a tune lined out as soon as i complete the install. I would have kept working last night but i needed an extra set of hands to hold the PC while i screw the bolts in and the wife was sleeping already.

will work on it some during the day today and really get back into it tonight. we are watching my neice and nephew later today so want to make time for them.

So far the toughest part was changing that damn spark olug on the passanger side closest to the fire wall lol. Oh and trying to get the bolt out for pinning the crank till i threw the torch on it

sorry for typos. on phone. will edit later

Got the PC installed, intercooler installed and all the pipes ran. Ran into some snags mounting the PC that required grinding down some of the aluminum behind the alternator so everything woulld fit nicely. Also had to modify the bracket for the ECU so the pipe leaving the PC would route the way it suppose to to the intercooler. Still not sure if I like how I have the ECU mounted or not, the wiring harness is touching the pipe off the PC. Not sure how warm that pipe will get and if thats a concern or not.

Also got the passanger side injectors installed. Drivers side are in the fuel rail but I have to massage them into the engine since the o-rings are a little larger than the stock ones. Hopefully have everything under the hood done tomorrow morning and then just have to hook up the two gauges and give Roger a call to stop by with his laptop

If you use some sort of lube on the injector orings they go in A LOT easier. Silicone spray works well, as does assembly lube, vaseline, or even a tiny bit of motor oil.

We also got a bunch of snow last night so looks like it will be a conservative tune till it warms up and streets are dry

these injectors are going to drive me crazy. the o-rings that came on the new ones are bigger than the stock ones and pita to get to go into the motor. i tried using the stock fuel injectors o-rings on the new injectors and they are to loose.

x3 to that plug being a pita. I will explain in a second....

So I finally got everything installed. Still a few little tweaks here and there that I need to do to clean it up but everything is installed and working. I like the look of the wideband in the door pod and the boost and fuel pressure in the pillar mount. I still need to paint the pillar mount but I can do that later.

Roger showed up after work (props to him btw for showing up off the clock and at my place) and got a very basic tune loaded so we could start it up, check for leaks and I can drive it (as long as I stay out of boost) to his shop tomorrow to let him have it for the day.

So as I mentioned about that plug being a PITA. Well apparentlly when I changed my plugs the one on the passanger side closest to the firewall decided to pop off so it was only running on 7... so 2 seconds leaning over the hood, slid the boot over the plug till it snapped into place and we were rocking and rolling.

So I don't want to drive it to much till after Roger get's it all tuned and dialed in but I made a quick trip to the store and back and just the purr of the Procharger under the hood gives me a hard on. The sound is just beautiful. It's 10 degrees outside and I am driving with my window down just to listen to it.

So I drove like a grandma to and from the store and can't wait till tomorrow when I get it back and can get into it a little more

oh btw Roger.. telling me I can't get into boost is like going to a strip club. It's a lot of teasing but never getting what you really want....

pic of the gauges. Will get some better ones once it's light out again tomorrow
