Well I was hoping to get into this earlier in the week but was hooked up with getting my house on the market and then had plans most the weekend so didn't get to working on it till later this afternoon. So far I have pinned the crank, changed the plugs...of which the one closest to the firewall on the passanger side can kiss my ***, and got the bracket installed. Was going to bolt on the Procharger to the bracket but there is no safe way of doing that with just two hands so will have the wife give me a hand tomorrow.

Oh.. and while it is embarassing I got a good laugh out of it. I relevied all the fuel pressure from the valve at the manifold and then used a valve stem tool to remove the inside since I am later going to use it for my fuel pressure gauge. Well me and my logical thinking didn't think about that when I went to turn the key on so I could play the radio in the truck. Next thing I know I see a solid stream of fuel shooting up from my engine bay. So quickly turned the key back off, cleaned up the mess and dissconected the negative terminal LOL

Pictures so far.

I'd pay good money to have seen the look on your face when you noticed the 90 octane geyser under the hood!

At least your shop light didn't catch your truck on fire. Yikes!

I feel like an idiot but yea live and learn. I caught it the second the lights on the dash lit up so it only shot for about 1/2 a second but was still a big WTF moment. For a split second I thought it was washer fluid.

Oh well, should hopefully wrap most of it up tomorrow. I got a late start today and had to stop a few times to take care of other things and to also make a trip to sears for a elbow connection to get that last spark plug on the passanger side. I could have drove to my house and got the one in my tool chest but Sears is 2 min away from where I am working on my truck LOL

I didn't know your dad still had the gray Corvette. What year is that thing, an 82? Seemed like one thing after the other kept breaking on that car. That was quite a few years ago...

Don't worry man, been there and done that. I did it when I was doing headstuds/gaskets. Thought, ahh this would go alot better if I had some jams. Well when I removed the intake, I tucked the 8an feed line under the drives side wiper....Key on, phhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... lol, those dual Walbro's got some flow!. Of course I went into scamble mode to get it clean up.

good times!

Nothin you can do but laugh at yourself when stuff like that happens. LIke everyone said before me... we all make mistakes. That one doesnt even sound bad to me... haha

I'm really pumped to see how this shakes out. Think you'll get it done today? Do you already have your new tune lined up?
