'89 Chevy C1500 5.3 turbo build

With enough room under the hood to land a Biz Jet I can't for the life of me imagine what "THEY" were talking about when THEY said a simple motor swap with Hair dryer couldn't Be done....??????? WOOWWY so you some how thought it was more prudent to go down from the 6.0 liter swap you obviously already did in favor of "LESS" cubic inches for your Chevy truck .. Can I ask why you just didn't install your dryer with all your fancy plumbing and neat fittings and Gizmos on your 6.0 inch motor Can I assume the 6.0 is a iron block LS motor ?????

Not the biggest fan of stepsides but your truck is pullin it off quite nicely, what rims/tires you runnin? If you ever wanna sell em lemme know!

Theyre 20" Billet Specialties on Hankook Ventus tires. 20x8 5.25in backspace up front on 255/55R20 and 20x9.5 5.75in backspace in the back on 275/60R20. The wheels tuck perfect but for the back I shouldve done a 6in backspace and used a wider 285/60R20 tire. Some people dont notice it but it irks me.
This is gonna be my first turbo build btw. I actually have a Trick Performance stage 3 kit for the 99-06 trucks that Im gonna modify to fit mine. I think the only thing that I'll have to work on is mounting the intercooler and figure out the downpipe. I'll have to see how the trick downpipe will fit mine. Might have to notch the cab. How are you gonna run the downpipe?

Look through this guys build, good info. I know it's alot of pages but its worth it. He had KB Racing hot pipes (very similar to Trick's) and he has some pics of how he did his DP.
