Default 86 c10 lsx build

Hi guys,

In the process of building up an 86 c10. Plans are to have 5.3 swap with a 4/6 drop on 20" wheels and quite a few other things. Here are a few pics of the progress so far. First pictures is the truck how I purchased it and drove it home a couple months ago. Next is pulling the old engine, last is the rear of the truck after removing the old bumper and a buff and some wheels (got the wheels for free because they were bent and needed new tires. I straitened them and got some new tires now.

Here is a pic of how the engine sat when I picked it up. Actually got an awesome deal. Got a 5.3 and a 4.8 both with everything for 400 bux. I then sold the 4.8 with everything for 300. I payed 400 for my 4l60e trans also with about 35k on on it. I know how the engine striped down for cleaning and painting. The wiring harness basically finished. I converted the factory 5.3 truck harness. Will be using the factory 5.3 truck fuse box also.

My goal is to have the truck ready to drive to a show November 12. It will not be painted by then but if everything goes right the swap we be completed it it will be lowered.
I have basically everything I need all I have left to order is the swap headers, and I need a drive shaft yolk because I didn't get one with the 4l60e transmission, a transmission dipstick tube because mine is bent and kinked, and ls1 or ls6 intake and the parts needed to swap one of those on. Anyone have any of these parts for sale for a good price? I would really like the ls6 intake but they cost a good bit more than the ls1 intakes. I plan to order the headers and intake stuff today.

My factory motor mount brackets that bolt to the factory have a rounded hump sticking out the back (not just a dowl that I can cut off) that caused them to not bolt up flat to my adapter plates for the 5.3 engine. Anyone know what mount brackets I should order that would have a flat back? thanks

Thanks, I deff got some good deals. Here is a picture of the engine block painted in graphite. The intake, valve covers, and accessory brackets including the water pump will be that color also. But the heads will stay aluminum and I will shine them up.

Got the intake and accessory brackets painted up today along with some tidying up under the hood of the truck so that it will look nice under there. Man much this thing from around back and up into the shop by myself was a pain! I think it all came out nice though. Here is a pic of the intake.
