Anyone know how a ls3 cam would act in a 5.3?? Kinda thinking the loss of lower end wouldnt be worth the upper end gains, but its basically same as an ls6 cam, spec wise.....

Im looking for a cam in the 204/211 .525/.525 114 lsa neighborhood...something with roughly 800-5000rpm . Not looking for any name brand crap, something that will get this thing together without dod, thought about running my comp cams 54-426-11, but i get the feeling for the dd road trip family wagon it would be a litle much....thinking about ls3 if it will let me delete the dod and not give up a bunch of bottom end..

Got my lifters, half of them anyway, for $20 for 8 lifters im not going to argue....



Other 4 still in box

Probably get rest of my lifters this weekend and hopefully majority of gaskets, for the dod delete... Some dude ran price of that airraid tube up to damn near what a new one cost, so.... Back to drawing board on that one...

Edit-whoever had been running the bid up on the airraid tube backed their bid out..... So back on with the intake tube...

Going to pull trigger on ls3 cam, anyone have any input or prior experience with an ls3 cam in an lmg with 862 heads???
