2000 silverado rclb to rcsb drag truck low budget conversion

The springs can only be shortened about 2 turns before I start losing suspension travel.
I'm going to notch the frame where the springs are bolted in. Weld in a coil bucket and move the entire assembly about 6" up. This will give me proper geometry and suspension travel. that'll lower it about 8". And with these tires a mean Cali stance lol.
The tires I want are $450 a piece so I'm looking into alternatives.
FYI the short beds are built entirely different than long beds. The shortbed weighs alot less than 3/4 of a long bed. I did not know that when I was setting this up originally.

Ok i thought for sure someone would have killed your motivation to finish this unsafe "hotrod" but come on guys, The user's in this thread that actually are saying good job and keep it up are you guys snorting lines off your computer desks this thing is unsafe as hell and I'm surprised you have been driving it as long as you have without it breaking it. Why don't you just order some ladder bars from summit and bolt on some coilovers so it will actually be safe and pretty cheap but hey if you wanna keep that "kustom" link go ahead at least you don't live in my state.

I'm not going to lie... Some of the build strikes me as a bit sketch, also because you plan on making this a drag truck, on a budget. I like safety with my speed, but regardless, I'm in for the final result. I really hope I'm wrong, because I don't want to see you crash into a wall.

Lol I'm not trolling I'm just simply stating the obvious your truck is unsafe as is like stated above i hope you prove me wrong but till then your truck is unsafe the way it is, you seem to have alot of knowledge why did it not come into play while building the rear link. I have been around alot of 2 links (bagged s10 scene) and this by far is the worst i have seen. Just take into consideration other people's safety and your own.
I am done "trolling" proceed with your build.

Are you and custm2500 brothers. That thing is scary. Very experienced people on here are trying to help you and possibly save your life and all you can say is you know what you are doing. Having built a couple of hacked up four wheel drive trucks is not experience. Make sure you take lots of insurance out on yourself and make your mother the beneficiary if you really plan on driving this pile on the track. Just because it passed a DOT inspection means nothing. I will guarantee you that if I take ma lawn mower on roller skate wheels to enough inspection stations one will pass it. This truck is unsafe sitting still. Please fix it right before you drive it on the track.
