Default 1990 c1500 5.3 6l80e swap

Hey, thought ill post my truck here and maybe if i get questions some of you could help me out!
The truck is a 1990 rcsb c1500 2wd with a 350 manual

Plans are to put a 5.3 6l80e combo in it and maybe also put a turbo on if i get the money together.
Also plan doing a paint job and color match the front and maybe a lowering kit and some wheels just to make it look better.

Here are some pics of how it looked when i got it home. It had a little front colision when i got so i put some parts on it just to drive it home, thats why the paint job on the hood looks like that cause i just used a lil spray paint to match it all a bit more!

Dash and the seat are not in good condition but i have a whole interior that wanna put in and its electric windows already so that takes care of that

Should be a fun project! I'll be following. I put a 5.3/t56 into my 95. Still need to finish up the swap. Until then, I'll live vicariously through you.

Sounds like u have fun truck too, i like manuals but i prefer auto in a truck so thats why i went this route. It might take a while for me to finish this build cause i work all week but i think ill find some time to work on it so it wont take to long!

I haven't driven the truck with it on there yet but it seems like a nice piece and I talked to a couple of guys who are running it and they liked it

Finally found some time to get some work done. Got the cab and box of also the engine and trans out. The frame looks to be in good shape no cracks or anything what i have found! Has a lil bent in the front that i need to fix but shoundnt be to much and wanna do some frame paint. See when i get to put the engine on to test fit everything. Once i get it all to work then i wanna get it to the paint shop to make it look good!

Got a small update,
I changed my mind on doing a 6 speed and decided to just go with a 4l80e and a 6.0 infront of it cause im trying to save up for a turbo right away and thought might be a good idea to have longer gears and if i ever go more crazy i can get more parts for a 4l80e to make it stronger.

So got some time to do some work and got the motor mounts done
Also found a spot for the ecu to go and modified the stock bracket of a 04 silverado to fit where i wan it.

Now i just need to see how to get all the wiring to the ecu

Also got the module for the electric gas pedal mounted just as they go on the newer models and plan on using the hole where the clutch went thru to put the wires for pedal to go thru now

Working on it to mount the pedal, need to modify it a bit to fit but should work once its all done

Picked up a ford 9 inch and want to get some moser axles so i have the same bolt pattern as the front and also want to change all the bearings now that i have it apart

Was kinda a slow build and never thought about updating this thread but its kinda done for now.
Ended up going with a stock L83 6L80e combo. I have been enjoying the truck for a couple thousand miles already and was my daily for a while.
Have some plans i would like to do with it yet but i change my mind so often so no idea what will actually happen.
Here's a couple pics on how it sits now,
