I changed the gauges to the needle cluster and just used a Dakota Digital module and makes all the stock gauges work. Oil pressure gauge doesn't work yet but haven't really tried to get it to work.

Nice work! The L83 looks right at home. I used the 95 oil pressure sender on the gen 3 engine with an adapter. Not sure if you have a port on the L83 to use.

Do you have a link to the module? I'm curious as I may have an LS swap to conduct next year

Yep, here it is. This is for a gen 3. It goes in the gen 3 oil pressure sender port at the back of the block. Not sure what the L83 uses.

The L83 with 6l80 will actually outperform a 6.0 with 4l80 on anything short of an all out build so you made a great choice. I'm curious about your low side fueling and electronics. Very nice to say the least!!!

What a great result! Glad you finished up and updated the thread. How did you find such a clean 2wd in Alberta?

Thanks everyone!

I believe i need the stock sending unit for ecu on the newer models but i could probably have a T adapter to have both sending units, just need to look into it a bit more.

I got the truck from Texas before i moved to Alberta.

The truck is fairly quick for what it is and has surprised a people for sure.
I got a walbro 450 in tank pump and used a corvette fuel filter for the return system.
