Thanks Justin. Ill check into the headers only. Modding the cross member is no biggie as I plan to take it out in favor of a tubular unit. The factory is bulky.

I ended up buying myself a wiring harness for my birthday just a few minutes ago. I did a lot of research and finally found this company that manufactures most of the wiring harnesses out there: http://kwikwire.com/wh_22Circuitstreetrodwiring.html

I'll post some pics this weekend of it once I start installing it.

The Core support needed some trimming, better yet Hacking! But it fit. Like anything I done on this swap, I had to customize things! I think Im going to buy another core support and start over. Like to get a 93' style to upgrade to the new front clip!

I should have only pulled the core support, but I did pull the frame too. Now that the chassis is blasted and painted, and new hardware and bushings to boot! The weekend should be nice here, and I plan to tackle the Wiring harness. Should get all wired in!

Default Gauge Panel

Over the weekend I started on my gauges.

Auto Meter Phantom's

2 1/16" Fuel, water, oil, volts.
5" Electric Speedometer

After I pay myself back from buying the set, I'm getting the 5" Monster Tach w/ Shift light in a few weeks!

I cut out the stock Bezel and test fit the New filler panel. Mocked it up with .99$ poster board.

Fitting the 5" Speedo in there was a tight fit, but I like the end result.

Here the Paper panel! The other gauges should be here this week. "Back order E-bay, but saved me some coin!"

If anyone would like a pattern of the panel, I'd be glad to help!

It fits like a glove!

Tip: Cutting the dash ( or any hard Plastic) I found a little heat from with a heat gun and a utility Knife works great! Just make your outlines with the knife. Heat the back side of the part your cutting, and cut over the line until your though! Alot easier than having a slip with a sharp knife!

nice, my build came to a screaching halt, still cant get the stupid tranny to stop leaking I think its the tq converter but i'm not sure, its the only thing I haven changed. I want to just throw a match at her and call it good, the engine was missfiring right before I parked her, I dont know why it is. I'm going to do a compression test and if something come out bad i'll buy a 5.3 throw in a small cam in it and pull the 6.0 to build for another truck.

school started so I dont have any time for it any more, I'll do the compression test in the next week or so, then i'll order everything to pound it out over spring break.

that is top notch work man! what are you going to do for a tach?

I have taken a break, havent touched her in over a month. I put the tranny back in for the 5th time and just couldnt look at it any more. I'm getting better now. got back into lifting so I can take my agression out on weights instead of the truck. the good news is everything is done, so even if I have to swap in a 5.3 and new tranny it will only take me a weekend. I've got a few good friends to help me with it.

Wink Finished Gauge Panel

After a Contact High from the Clearcoat Fumes, Whoa! Nasty ****!

The Brushed Aluminum Sealed up nice after 3 coats of Adhesion Promoter and 4 of the Clear! I sanded and fixed the cracks the cutting made manhandling the bezel. And Shot it with some nice gray paint. Fresh looking with the Gauges, should look great in the dash.

Only need the green Turn signal lights installed yet.
