Not much of an update other than a quick current engine pic and a few other small updates. I'm cleaning out the back shop at my friends shop and it will be going there soon to get cracking on finishing it.

I however do have a pile of parts building:

A 80LB box of polished stainless fasteners most are ARP
unisteer cross steer and all supporting steering parts
Vintage air mini evap box
Vintage air condensor
Vintage control panel
Lokar cable shifter (already test fit)
Polished Sanden SD7 compressor
Billet specialties A/C Vents
Billet specialties street rod throttle and brake pedal
New drive shaft
all the parts to build 1 7/8 primary to 3" collector headers from SPD
New King Bee headlights
assorted fittings and 3003 1/8" sheet to build fuel system

Quick pics. You can see the start of the PCV system that is all stainless hardline. I made the pcv to an adapter on the lathe last week. Also the stainless hardline coolant steam cross over system I bent up. I promise I will be updating with progress soon.

Also wanted to show what I did to remove the engraving from the Abear covers I got. I used a 1 inch end mill and cut out the "SUPERCHARGED 2004 PONTIAC GTO" and used 304 stainless mess to back it. This also solves the possible heat issue with the coils that some say was a problem.

Thanks. Still need to have them gone over for a final polish. I will have that done when I drop off the Alternator, Intake, Alternator Bracket, and A/C Bracket (not done making) to the polisher.

Still thinking of using a chunk of 3/8th plate I have to make a aluminum trans pan for ***** and grins.

I also scored a set of Abear Valve covers that should be here next week.

Next I'm bending up stainless hardline to run the steam vent into the waterpump. After that is done I should be able to get the wiring done.....I hope.
Holy ****, I completely forgot about this thread! Nice solution on the alternator, looks great

Looking good,

You ever thought about doing adapter plates on the block with hoses to a remote mount water pump? Makes packaging much easier and opens up a lot of options. Just a thought.

I don't think it would make packing easier or really open any options.

I have to run 2 lines for A/C, 2 lines for Heater, 1 7/8th header tubes, wiring, PCM mount, and trans cooler/lines on the passenger side

Driver side will have the same header tubes, steering linkage, unisteer cross steer mount, under floor master for brakes, and fuel lines.

So needless to say running 2 lines for a remote waterpump is out of the question or at least I'm choosing not to even think about it LOL, but thanks for the suggestion.

Considered relocating the coils under the body while you've got the wiring apart? It would clean up the top of the engine a bit.
