Default '07 Classic Daily Fun Haver

It's been a little while since I've been on the forum but here goes my build progress and future plans.

I bought the '07 Classic from a friend's parents that had been babied it's whole life. When I got it last summer it had only 78,000 miles on it, everything stock. Part of me is bummed it's only the 4.8 but I'm new to the truck platform and to Chevy power trains so it's going to be a good learning experience.

So far I've put on new headlights and DTR lights, wheels and tires, Belltech 1.5" lowering shackles and Belltech shocks all arouns, Optima Red Top, Hawk brake pads up front, stainless long tubes from texas-speed, magnaflow side exit exhaust, new "racing" spark plug wires with a fresh set of factory plugs, aFe dry air filter with an Airaid intake tube. After dyno tuning it came out to be 284HP at the wheels and 294ft.tq. I just got an Eaton limited slip, B&M diff cover, and Richmond 3.73 ring and pinion, they'll be installed this weekend. This weekend I installed a Hayden trans cooler. Next will be a trans-go shift kit, heavy duty sun shell and a stall TC. A little further in the future i'll be putting in a low lift cam and new intake manifold.

Thanks, man! I'm definitely going for more ponies. My original plan was to put a Pro Charger on it but after much thought I decided against it, mostly because I don't feel like having to swap out the trans after a few weeks lol. The idea is still in my head but I think I'll save that for another build some day.

Thanks, man. Yeah I got super lucky with the low miles on this thing and cosmetically I've only had to do minor things. The bed cover is showing some oxidation, not a big deal but it'll bug me sooner or later and i'll get it repainted.

Thanks, slo! Just took it in for AC service, it's about 96,500 now but still feels and sounds really good. I definitely got lucky

Nice truck! Depending on the size tire you plan on running I would go for a little steeper gear if you haven't already had the 3.73's installed. With the smaller motor in an ex cab the lower gear will help you get going off the line a bit better. However, it depends on your future plans for stall and power adders.......
