The mph would be saw by starting with more power thus allowing track average power to be better
Which if you leave the line harder youll be further down track in higher rpms

Weve gained mph souly by bringing in power sooner and staying same total boost

Now if converter is too loose youll lose the mph by converter slip

So if converter can take lockup...try locking it soon as shifts into 2nd and let it eat

Thanks george. I did have a yank ss 3600 for na at one point so I know what you mean. It was seeing about 10.5lbs of boost last time out. I want to see 12lbs to 14lbs. I will be running 3.90s, 325/45/17 m&hs, the new trans, and converter.

Well, truck is all back together and running great, I love the 80E, so much better and the PTC converter feels awesome so far. Truck is all tuned on 15lbs now, and is quite increase over the 10.5lbs I was seeing before. All said and done, the truck got a 80e swap, ptc 3500 converter, hydroboost swap, 05+ front brakes, and couple hundred pounds of weight reduction. Previous best was a 11.98 at 114 with multiple shift issues with the 60e and 1.8 60ft. Hopefully I can leave on some boost now, which i was never able to do before. It builds 2lbs pretty easy on the foot brake now, and with the 2 step at 3k buids 4-5lbs. Looking for 11.5s pretty easily out of it. Hope to be running it at dragging rights in fayetteville NC this weekend if the weather holds out. I dont know what time to expect, but any 60ft in the 1.6s should net me pretty good time.

Looks like you either need a wider wheel or you gotta air down a tad with those tires. There's a lot of meat not touching the road.
