That camaro looks fun, and the truck is looking good.
If you powdercoat or paint the accessory bracket, just make sure you keep all the mounting bosses for the alternator bare aluminum, or you will have charging issues... That goes for the actual mounts for the bracket to the block/head as well on the backside of the bracket.
Thanks for heads up John, I wouldn't have thought about that at all. Ended up just slapping it on without painting.
Good news and bad. Got everything back on with new 102mm TB, and the TR adapter apparently doesn't work with the 102mm TB so it threw all codes related to DBW. Puts it into reduced power mode right at key on. Looks like I'm going back to 90mm for now... Just waiting on LC32 adapter for tensioner. All the codes...
Tried finding the same size 8rib Gates belt (112.5") but they apparently do not make one. Ended up ordering the 113" HD belt and should be here tomorrow.
I'm going to swap out intakes to the old one, or see if I can get the 5" to 4.5" reducer on there to tighten down to 4.25" without crimping... Hopefully tomorrow it's back on the road, or I order a new reducer for intake.
I think you have to tune for that throttle body. Is it a Nick Williams? What is a TR adapter?
Meant the x link. Can't tune until I get it started, but clearly something doesn't line up with the setup. 90mm stock LS3 back on.
Belt showing up any minute, once I install the mods are done until I install the juice. Figure that's easier and more power effective to get this over 600whp. That'll be awhile so I can upgrade the fuel system on SS first. LC32 is expensive AF, but won't have any slipping issues...
Well, looks like he conversion was well worth it. Grabbed an old log, and just went out to dial the new intake and setup in.
Before 8 rib at shift. Notice the boost line erratic nature. After 8 rib at shift (raised shift points). Boost line is dialed and climbs slightly.
I made some adjustments in VE table after this run to compensate above 190kpa. Im running the truck a little fat as I was dialing everything in. Might keep it that way just to stay on the safe side now that its dialed in. You can see I gained 3-4psi up top with the new belt setup. I did a 65mph kick, and the damn truck broke loose. Granted its only 50* out right now, but still.
What is everyone setting their timing at? Im between 14-16* depending on pull. Seems like I would want around 17*, but again keeping it conservative. Truck feels GREAT, street driving is 0 to -4% LTFT at all times. AFR bounces around 14.7 as it should.
