Got it bolted in, kinda weird all the bolts are the correct size as a factory block except for the trans mount bolts... uses 3/8-16? Guessing for engine stand mounting? Not sure why they wouldn't use the factory M10-1.50 size bolts. Oh well it fits, now just to run over to my buddies shop and grab the manifolds and test fit the turbo. Going to be a little tighter then I originally thought but I got a large frame PTE 106 turbo in there so fitting this one shouldn't be an issue.

That LS motor is going to be awesome but that BBC would hurt A LOT of feelings...

Cut some holes with flaps in that shroud to let air through at speed, ask me why i know with this texas heat.

Have a lot to learn but slowly getting it. Started getting all the new harness stuff in for the new Motec system from Race Spec, as well as went ahead and ordered a couple Titanium flanges and 5" pie cut kits from Ticon Industries to make a nice pie cut titanium downpipe. Ill just tack those parts and let a professional take care of welding that stuff. Anyways on to some pictures...

The turbine wheel is right up to the edge on the Tial housing, the Garrett housings have like a 4-5" extension to them, would have had to either move the turbo more up or have a really tight bend on the down pipe. Side by side was a clear choice.
Cool, didn't know about the length difference. Tial housing should save a decent amount of weight too.

Well put the block to good use, I went to test fit the turbo header and well fitment just wasn't going to work like I originally thought. I bought these clamps from Ice Engine Works that let me clamp the weld els in place instead of having to tac then cut and re tac so used them to position the collector right where I want it. Should have everything right now, but will see. Doesn't look like much changed on the collector placement but brought it up enough to place the turbo off the inner fender. Now it has plenty of clearance from that and raised the turbo about 4 inches.

Well not the prettiest welds but they will work. I still have a lot to learn but slowly getting it... Anyways got the header bolted up and test fit the turbo. Everything fits right where I wanted it so now to continue with it and finish the hot side...

I haven't been following this build that closely so I hope this isn't a silly question but based off the way you started welding that first pipe to that collector how do you plan on having the drivers side exhaust feed I to that collector?

it will tie in on the back side right under the v band on the turbo like my 106 turbo headers were.
