Well got my new wheels and tires in for the truck shootout the 25th of this month. Was going to bolt them all on and snap some pictures but they require the thin splined acorn lug nuts that nobody happened to have in stock. I ordered some but won't be here till a couple of days. I did however for some reason have a few so test fit one wheel...

Stick out more then I would like but oh well as long as they work. I'll be looking into new Bogarts anyways but these wheels were super cheap and shipped next day so couldn't beat it. Tires are 325/45-18s and damn near the same height as my 305/40-22s so happy with that.

Looks like they could use some hub-centric rings too, would help to reduce possible vibrations.

I'm just not a fan of having the lug nuts center the wheels even with the acorn style.

I think GM1697 has the same rims too. They look good and are pretty light

Those are indeed the same rims I have

Mine are the 18x10 -19. Ran about $650 also.

They weigh about 23lbs a piece if I recall... I put them on a scale when I bought them a year ago...

Forewarning, the chrome hubcaps will rust in approximately 6 months.

Well got the "drag pack" on and even though they got a pretty good offset and stick out a little think they look pretty good. Tire is perfect for the size of the truck. These wheels are just temporary so really not worried about fitment anyways. So far did just one test hit and truck hooks up and pulls hard with them. Never realized how bad my 22s were spinning till now. Now to get the truck ready for the truck shootout this weekend.

Well took the truck out to the LS1 Truck Shootout yesterday and had a lot of fun, only got two runs in because I lost the damn alternator the last run but oh well learned some new things with the truck. First pass I just didn't have any traction, I went out thinking I wouldn't need to do a burnout since the night before on the street it hooked up badass but WAY different story on the track. Think I got out of it at least three times and it was just instant tire spin every time. Just let out but still managed a 11.8. Ok but not great. Anyways second run I heated them up good and managed to get them to hook up pretty good. I only left on 5 lbs, was still testing the truck and coming up slowly on more boost out of the hole but with 5lbs I got it to do a 1.7 60 which is nothing impressive by any means and pretty soft but even with losing the alternator this run and getting out of it I still managed a 10.5 at 126mph. Going back to the alternator deal, it happened to seize up mid pass so lost voltage and fuel pump output dropped because of it so truck started to go lean. Oh well I still had fun and will def be back hunting for those 9s in my full weight street truck...
