Default HSW wet kit finally installed

I finally got it done. The kit is the sudden impact wet plate system from Harris Speed works. I'm also using their timing tuner. The engine is stock with stock tuning and I'm spraying from 3000-5900 rpms using the window switch; I don't know if I need to, but I have it retarded 2 degrees when the nitrous is on. I also have NGK TR6's gapped at .040.

I didnt get to run it at a track, but using the Gtech, on the motor, It ran 15.55@93.6 mph. That was right after the nitrous runs. With 100hp jetting on a cool motor it went 14.77@100.3 with the AC on. The next pass was 14.73@100.1 with the ac off. The temps were about 74 degrees and the elevation here is about 250 ft. Oh, the bottle pressure was only about 750 psi, so I think thats why it wasn't going any faster. For now I'm really happy with the kit, and I'm looking to get a bottle heater. I'll also try to nail down the timing to get it to make a little more power. And yes, I'll try post some pics soon.

i wouldn't think you would have to retard factory timing to run a 100 shot.... i dont remember exactly what factory timing is....but shouldnt be much above 20* at WOT....

get that bottle heater to get the pressure up a bit, and a good timing setting, and you should pick up a bit....

i think the tr-6's call for a 0.035" gap for juice, but i could be wrong... i gapped mine at 0.035"

ALWAYS turn your a/c off before you even tech in... I read that you had it on going down the track???

think about that... you wet a tire about 100ft out... you'll make a hard turn whichever way the rear grabs/slips and send you right into the wall... be careful out there...

I checked the timing tuner and it was set for 0 degrees retard. I had a friend scan the computer and we didn't see any knock retard during the runs, and the total timing was around 20 degrees. I didn't get to go to the track, but we did the runs in a remote area with no traffic. I would rather get it to thetrack, but the nearest one is in Famoso, about 90 miles away. I'm hoping to get the NA timing figured out this week, then pull it back to stock timing with the nitrous on.

Yeah, I used a GTech. When I had a mustang and ran at the track I never ran the AC, but these runs were done on a county road.

Parke10 Famoso's site says the next open test and tune is May 9. I'll try to get her down there. I should have it dialed in by then.

I have a friend that has a Snap on scan tool, and he said it can log timing, A/F, knock retard, and a bunch of other stuff. I have the timing tuner, so I'm going to try to get the NA timing figured out, then pull the timing when the nitrous is on. Does anyone around here know if the Snap on scan tool can help me tune this setup? thanks.
