that was one tough little motor, but most of them are, my buddy had a 4.8 in his 00 sierra and it had 235,000 miles on it and there was still nothing wrong with it when we took it out and put the 6.0 in

Watch your speed on the crewcab. The driveshaft is so long, it vibrates over 100mph.
