Default 89 tbi on the juice?

im wanting to spray in my '89 TBI motor, and am wondering what it will SAFELY handle. My mods are as follows.

93 Octane Hypertech Tune
CAI
Throttle Body Spacer
Flowmaster Catback Exhaust

My motor has 60k on it. Im not worried about the 700r4 tranny as it is pretty built. I am however worried about how big of a shot the internals of my motor will handle. I'd prefer a wet setup but im open to any and all asvice. thanx.

I had a 90 model with the stock internals and I ran a 125 wet shot the whole time I had the truck (4 years). 125 would be as high as I would go on stock pistons. TBI motors respond well to nitrous. Mine had 4.10's, 350 tranny, hooker LT headers, dual exhaust w/ no cat, pulleys, hypertech, edelbrock tbi intake, jet fuel pressure regulator, and the nitrous was a nitrous works kit. With the spray I ran mid 13's on radials. The wet system will go in place of your tbi spacer.

first thing i would do is put the stock chip back in. i had a hypertech in my 89 and it didnt not anything for it. make sure your timing is set to 0 degrees. i believe i done that at idle. its been so long im not sure. i ran a nos wet set up with 125 pills and it dropped over a second in the 1/8th. 125 is the biggest you want to go

Yeah, to check the timing, pull that relay cover off and unplug the single brown connector (that way the timing is not advanced). Use your timing light and make sure it's at 0.

I had the thermo master and it made about 3 tenths difference for me.
