Default Noobie McNoobington from Dallas

Been looking at getting a truck for a while and finally found the one i really wanted so here i am.
Just picked up an 04 sierra reg cab short bed with the 5.3 and a surprisingly loaded interior.
Also snagged a 2/4 drop for starters from a friend who decided to go the other way and lift his a bit but found out i have to get out of the 16s before i can put the spindles on.
I also have a bagged 05 GTI that has been my "need to tinker with" outlet for several years.

Anyhow, looking forward to learning a lot about this truck and talking to some new people.

here's the truck as it sits now. friend that sold me the drop kit also pointed out that it has drop shackles in the rear already.

mmmm love those wheels

thanks everybody
Ended up with a CEL for the knock sensor, dealer i bought it from offered to fix it but it was a 50 mile drive each way and they wanted the truck for a few days. Decided to do it myself instead. hour and a half and all better.

Damn, ya it had some water at some point. Did you use sealant around the rubber grommets when you put everything back together?

my guess is that it happened when they cleaned the truck to sell. Figured its rare for that much water to get in there but now that you mention it i probably should've sealed it up
