New to the board
My name is Nick and I have a black 07 silverado classic. Tryed to put the picture in my avatar but it kept telling my it wasnt valid. Anyways the truck is a v6 5 speed but starting in aug or september I am going to be swapping to the 5.3. Been looking up things to know what I need but does anyone have a good ball park est on everything? I know anywhere from 900 to 1300 for the motor. Exhaust can be a couple hundred depending on the route I go. What does a harness usually cost? Anyway thats my plan but I hope to get a lot of good use out of this board.

Hey Nick, you're in the right place!
You might consider a 6.0L instead of the 5.3l just because it's all the same as far as labor and cost isn't too much more.

Do a search on here for "swap" under engine and you will probably find all you need. The 6.0 swap is probably your best bet, like Trever said, not much more for the engine, and the swap costs the exact same.

Thanks guys. Me and a friend are going to be doing the swap so the labor is free! But I may look into the 6.0 but from what I have seen they are almost 600 to 800 more around my area!
