Default Whippled 496 1320 run

I hate to post this in a way, he ran .6 faster the next run, but I wasn't there. So just close your eyes at the end of the run and imagine the board says 14.1. LOL

Very nice, TM is killing him hes got a 2.0 60ft and it looks like it almost noses over whenever it shifts you can see it shift weight. Hes got a 13.6ish with no TM and the intercooler +winter weathers coming this should be good.

I wish you could have heard more of the truck instead of the **** can next to him

Nice run.
I was having the same problem with shifting until recently. I'd see time cut back to -11deg during a shift. Now it cut to 7deg, man what a difference.
BTW Whippled if drop the torsions in the front until the tie rods are level. It will give you much better and smother launches

yeh damn fart cans. Should be a general rule with modding your vehicles...NO FART CANS! Unless you can ripppp a 12 second run.

I think once whip gets his IAT's under order (intercooler), he can get confident in attacking the TM. As he said, that allison is a real MF'er in the tune setup. He's getting there.

Just been taking it easy on the truck. I've made one bottle run with the new engine. There's a vid of the race in this forum. In a few weeks look for pics of a new mod!

After keeping it from pulling soo much timing. The Ally had to do some adjusting. But now it shift awesome, it even squall the tires going in to second.

Thanks DEWy, i spun like crazy on that first run, even in 4-hi, look at how i bounced around for the first 30'...LOL. Thats why the 60' foot sucked. I usually have a pretty consistant 1.90 - 1.94 60' time. My second run, i pulled a 1.93 60'. It kind of makes me sick to say this, but i had 210* IATs on the last run, coupled with the fact that i forgot to paste the IAT table in there when i changed tunes..... ...so it was trying to keep the 14* at WOT, and with those high IATs it just couldnt do it without some knock. Needless to say it got some KR and it pulled some timing out. I actually made that 14.18 pass with 9.5* of timing.....LOL. If i would have pulled a few degrees with the IAT table and kept it around 11* or so...i would have gotten a little better time. This big heavy f'ker definately has a 13 second pass in it, its just gonna take me working out some tuning bugs and slapping on an intercooler. I dont have any idea where to remove the torque management from this Allison. I have full access to the Allison tune file, but i just dont know how its being pulled. I am kind of leary of fooling with this tranny right now anyway even though it does drop from 14* to negative (-)10 degrees during shifts..... . Beat that stupid neon SRT-4, so i was happy about that.. . 13 is coming......look out!

You got a suncoast or is it a stock Ally TieRod? You have any Allison tranny tips or tricks you would like to share with the group?...LOL

It's a suncoast with a custom 2800 stall built by a local trans shop. I really like it. I have the old school 1s1edit. I bought it just after HPtunes come out. So I have no control over the trans. The file I changed limits the total timing it can pull. I don't know if its a bad thing but I'll find out.LOL
