i have 3.73s in mine. i like em pretty good but the motor turns some rpm on the highway. kinda why i want that t56. it has definately helped out with my high way speeding habit i had. my tires are only 25.75 inches tall too so. one of my favorite mods was the rear end. 3.73 gears and the true trac.

i would be willing to bet you would put down higher numbers on another dyno. i have been to multiple dyno's and have seen the lowest numbers at efi alchemy BUT have seen the quickest 1/4 mile pass with Doc's(efi alchemy) tune

and go ahead and do the rear mount turbo. that way when you pop the 4.3 you will already have the turbo setup for a cheap 5.3 that will give you insane power for that little truck

well that makes me feel alittle better about the numbers. it really does feel good. i keep thinkin to myself wow if this is 170 imagine what 230 would feel like. or 270. or a turbo 5.3 that would really get my truck movin.
ive seen your truck a couple times before i think at the rivercity carshow. i wanna say its every 3rd saturday. that sucker is nice. you goin to go this month?

Default a few words

I don't know if the post is still going but let me give you some information based on experience
1. the bottom end will not hold up to serious modes. you will need a marine crank
2. insure your compression is not over 9.25 if you plan on using a big turbo or serious over driven supercharger
3. if you run a remote turbo, do it as far back as possible and then route your boost pipe on the driver's side. this will allow the air to cool considerably before it reaches the engine compartment

as to the experience I spoke of: I have a 90 full size ext cab chevy with a 383 that I run a remote twin turbo set on. the oil reserve is in the passenger fender just before the rear wheel. I run a pump from there to the turbos with 30 lbs of pressure. after the turbo the oil goes into an oil cooler that runs its on fan

on street tires with the timing retarded 10 degrees, I am currently running in the low 7s.

something to think about

wish you well on your build
