yeah it seems kinda low to me but it does have 132k on the motor. and even though i thought i had more done to it i really dont. its basically bolt ons and a cam. on a realatively low compression motor. with iron heads none the less. im planning my rebuild now but im hoping to have one of my other projects done by then. it definately feels good thou

Just a lil advice file fit the rings before you put em on the pistons.give you a few more horses. It did for me when I rebuilt mine 3 yrs ago. Motor only has 35k on it right now. Probably why I'm so confused of why ur setup seems low on power. A good fresh motor will yeild a decent boost in power for sure and for cheap. I built mine for 300 bucks

rebuilt motor for 300 bucks. thats pretty sweet. i dont know if i would be able to restrain myself. im really wanting to put aluminum heads on it and bump up the compression alittle bit. but maybe ill just boost it instead.

i just caint decide. id like to build it with like 11.5 compression and aluminum heads then spray the **** out of it with nitrous. and i kinda want to put a procharger on it, and then im thinkin maybe a turbo set up but i already paid for headers so i dont really want to do that over again. thats why i gotta just wait some. itll come to me. when ever it does its gonna have a t56 attached to the back of it

thanks man!

You can always remote mount the turbo. If I build the motor for boost I'm going to put the turbo where the cat. is. That way it keeps the temp under the hood down also cooling the air before the intercooler further. Parish did a setup on a 99 sonoma 2 yrs ago and pulled some nice power out of a stock 4.3

No but he routed the air filter into a plastic uility box. That was mounted to the bed with holes cut into the back of it. Very sneaky setup and very effective.
